1984 C70 Leg shield / Leg guard wanted
As per title, looking for a genuine leg shield for a 1984 C70 in good condition (no cracks/stickers) - ideally in the North East of England, but I travel regularly down the A1 to London so elsewhere on that route isn't a problem. Pic attached of existing one if that helps.
Cheers, Andy

Hi Andy
Remember the square and round headlight 12v models leg guard may look and fit the same but the square headlight has a lip on top that needs cutting off if you want to fit it to the round headlight model.
Bit of info on the guards on this guide.

Still looking! Are the cheap repro ones as bad as I'm guessing they are?

Re: 1984 C70 Leg shield / Leg guard wanted
Last time I looked the repro ones had dried up for the square headlight bikes. They were around for under £30.
Had a couple of sets of them and they are obviously not Honda quality (or price!). The ones I have had are too white in comparison to original but do yellow up a bit after a couple of years or so. They require a bit of fettling to make them fit but boiling water, hairdryer work does the trick.
Used a heat gun a few weeks ago to try to reshape an area of one set to fit over the larger alternator of the Kayak, one last push resulted in a melted hole so had to trim round it.
If you can get them they do the job.

I had the same problem on my 1983 C70C.
If you can save your existing legshields then do so.
I also had to buy a new square headlight set and had to trim the top.
I measured carefully and used a fine toothed saw to trim to ensure a straight cut.
You'll be able to file and sand the edges to a really good finish.

Thanks all! Any idea if this would fit? Looks identical, although I'd rather not fork out £100!

The original is beyond repair sadly, lots of stickers and a big bit of missing plastic on the front. If I had the missing bit, maybe...but sadly not.
