That's a telling statement.

Echoing what AE86 says, I'm now wondering if there's a flat spot built in so it passes emissions tests. It manifests itself on some small scoots as a faint hesitation somewhere between 30 and 40 mph on the flat, particularly if there is a headwind. It might be that it affects the Vision more on hills.

Whatever, you won't have the same issues with an SH300. My only gripe with the old model was that I couldn't fit my size 12s in the footwell without maintaining a sitting position like a penguin. They've improved that significantly, I believe.
I had a Honda sh 300i for 4 months [2000 miles] then some xxxxxx xxxxxx nicked it,more power, but it had less room for my size 11,s then my sh 125,less ground clearance/didn't like being ridden round London, kept cutting out[lots of them do it] never did this on all my sh 125,s.And the worse seat I have ever sat my arse on,used to go to box hill ,the short way,had to stop,my arse, when ,I got my 2nd sh 125,[the slow one] went the long way,and kept going.
As for the Honda vision 110,it does what it does,no more,no less.

Owned two sh300's, neither ever cut out.....ever,,,,,,and I never had any problems with my seat......odd. The early sh300's have had a recall, because of the stalling.....maybe the ones which stalled never got took back to Honda.

Have now ridden two sh125's, an carb sh125 and a inj 05 reg one. The carb one seemed more peppy and flew up hills the 05 inj one felt to have more low down torque and felt a more luxurious bike.

The vision 110 was nice, but short sharp hills see a good 50 flying by.........I wonder how the 110 lead compares to the vision up hill.

Richie did you have a favourite in your sh125's?

Sh 125 no. one.did 40080 miles on this [still got it sorned] this was the quickest, and stil is.70 mph,and was still pulling, but centre stand came off, bloody loud noise it made, went to high beech, came backed put it front garden that was it.
sh 300i,had this 4 months [2000 miles] cut out when I got it,didnt like London running ,very lumpy, less ground clearance, less room for my size 11.did like drinking the fuel, when using the revs.then some xxxxxxx xxxxxx nicked it.worst seat ever.
2nd sh 125,this was so slow, dont know why,but it did its job, much much better seat.18000 miles up gpt very good p/x on my next one.
3rd sh 125,so different to the other 2.much quieter/smoother/more mpg/quicker then 2nd,but not as quick as 1st.its got a rev-limiter,better brakes,disc brake at back,no abs didn't want it.now with nearly 22000 miles up.i think I do like them,
But the Honda vision 110,the sh 125 is better, but the Honda vision is not worse.but its cheaper.
When I am on the sh 125,i miss the vision 110,when I am on the vision 110,i miss the sh 125. :? Bit I like them.

Richie.....I know what you mean.

I've currently no bike,,,,like my little geared bikes, my favourite been the innova, cub gives me lower back ache. I sold my sh125i basically because there was profit in it, but I sort of wish I still had it, it was comfy and smooth. Im now left deciding what to buy for fun on the little country roads I go on ( lots of hills.....snake pass etc). Have you tried the mode?

Well the sh300 fell through.
The bloke failed to tell me about the f1 warning light.

Bought an innova (2004)
Low miles.

Not sure what performance I should expect.
Mate says wring its neck and it does well

I have a Suzuki address fl 125,and that's very over geared in 4th.Head wind on a hill and have to come down to 3rd,and the Honda is even worst.

The new version 17 reg Honda vision has a different engine amongst other things...( thicker forks etc ). Anyway Scooty man off YouTube,,,,,who is also on here...not sure if he's under the same name, used to ride the older vision 110 and now has the newer model. He agrees the older vision is sluggish up hills and the newer one is much better, also holding 60 to 65 on the motorway. Just thought it might be of interest......anyway he does a good couple of reviews on YouTube and may also be doing a up hill video of the newer version.
Cheers

Have a try on the Suzuki address an 110 scoot, its quicker then the vision/bottom end/mid range/top end ,but the Honda vision is smoother and has better brakes.
How do I know............. Just bought one.Still got the sh 125,vision 110,fl125 Suzuki, why, just being greedy. :ugeek:
