CG125 stuff.
Moving this too a more relevant place on the forum
Racks Hammerited, black two coats. Gaiters fitted. Side stand fitted. Nice 8x6 (don't start on the "legality" bit) number plate fitted. Mat's chain guard fitted and a new one ordered for Mat's bike. Bike fully loaded for a test run (but not today, unless it stops raining) Oil will be changed just before i leave. New DID h/d chain and JT sprockets on order along with hand guards. Gonna be the ultimate "adventure bike" and will be parked beside all the Beemer GSs to create some real bike interest !!
CG now ready for Germany and the Diesel bike rally the weekend after next. I know it's a long time yet but it was wet and miserable today so i though i'd do a dummy load up. Test ride tomorrow

Re: CG125 stuff.
Looks good I really like that model cg, went to see a V reg not long ago but was a bit too tatty.Would like to go away for a few nights Camping on bike (2weeks off work next month) Don't fancy taking my cub away fully loaded, I don't feel confident with the slower speed and extra weight. God I wish I hadn't sold my MZ. Look forward to see how your set run goes. Goodluck.

Nah I had a ETZ 250.Was good fun, thinking of getting a cg or similar just for work, don't like using the 90 to work too many bike theives about and iv spent a lot of time and money getting it how it is now.

Re: CG125 stuff.
I had a 150 about 35 years ago and spent a year doing the courier circuit .............if my memory serves me well it was super reliable and never let me down. Even ran when most of the rollers had vanished from the chain, just the pins left That's the problem with me & fully enclosed chainsDiesel Dave wrote:Ah good an MZ man - any experience of the 150's?

Those smaller panniers look good , hopefully it's all still solid loaded up. Come and find me when your back and I'll sort out the extra brackets.
Looking at the pictures they look fairly straight and both seem inline , not bad considering we didn't measure anything and used a spirit level once

Re: CG125 stuff.
Did a test run today, about 80 miles, fully loaded as in the piccies earlier.d23mcd wrote:Looks good I really like that model cg, Look forward to see how your set run goes. Goodluck.
Felt fine, handled well, and still hit 70 on the A2 being sucked along with all the other traffic !!
Normal max is 60 though
Rob's rack did the job well too, nice and solid, so i have confidence now for Germany.
