Maybe, not sure what Bill was referring too tho, other than seeming to not like the fact that people either choose or are able to cruise at 60 on any bike

I worked out of Southampton from '82 to '84. Started on an SR500 and quickly went onto an R75 Beemer. Would do Southampton to London as often as four times a day. My goal was a mile a minute on the run so 100 miles according to the AA route map would take 100 minutes and I'd tell the customer that was the transit time. it wasn't hard to do.

Our company had a rule that no bike under 500 cc could be used so the main bikes were CX500's, GS850's, 650 Katanas and R75, R80 and R100RS BMW's.

The only time anyone kept up with me in London was some guy on a Jota 180....I was impressed....

In reply to Bill's concern that fellow vox owners would tell tales about traveling at high speeds I can assure him that I won't be doing that. I have enjoyed owning my Vox and aim to keep it for many years. One of my eternal regrets is selling my C90 back in 1999 when the allure of a new CG125 saw me sell it. the Vox is not built for speed as was the C90 but it is fun. I wonder how many Vox's have been sold in Britain?

No idea how you'd find out, but there are 417 on the road in the UK as of late last year.

Less Voxes on UK roads than Ferrari 458s then, does that make us riders special?

Hmm, I like my Vox but have occasionally wished it was a little more powerful and a little quicker, not to race but to keep up with traffic in certain circumstances whilst coping with my bulk. Paddling up to Brockhampton on the main A44 flat out at 40mph is a drag with 20 impatient commuters behind you, for example.
How different is the Innova with the EFI then?

I really wanted a new MZ Saxon Tour but with an updated 4 stroke 250 unit or something like the CC110 Cross Cub with a 150 lump in it, a screen, some panniers and weather protection; a high mpg, low hassle, all weather bike that can do whatever I throw at it costing around £2000 all in.

Been stuck in with plague for weeks so not been out on the Vox, will do asap now and see how I get on-it seemed slower after the first service.
Must get round to fitting Nav with clock and making some wider leg-shields...
All good so far and better quality than expected, though.
