Suzuki TU250XV 1997 16K £675. SOLD

Post by Warwick » Fri Sep 25, 2015 8:54 pm

I bought this a short while ago, as it is a good looking machine, IMHO. I've replaced the seat and cleaned it up since I bought it and had intended to replace one of the battery covers with the right item. It currently has a GN250 one on that isn't quite the right colour. Rare as hens' teeth though, so I've given up.

It's done 16500 miles and starts first time. It's a single, so is buzzy over 50mph, but we're used to C90s, so nothing unbearable.

I'm looking to sell it as the seat really doesn't suit me. It's a sculpted thing and it moves you forward into the tank. Fine if you are shorter than me, but uncomfortable for my 5' 11". It has a very low seat height, so it'd be great for ladies or shorter riders. If you're my height, look elsewhere would be my suggestion. I'd also say that it would seat a pillion rider, but s/he would soon tire of the thin rear seat.

There are a couple of dents in the tank and there is the unmatched cover I mentioned, so I'm looking for £675. It's in Warwick. There are some spares with it too.

Similar to this: but without the black bean bag on the seat!!! https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/73 ... 63b2e0.jpg

PM for photos.

sorry to dredge this thread up a year late, but i have never heard of a tu250, so i had a look and ive got to say, thats a bloody lovely looking bike by comparison to the gn250 that we normally got in the uk, i do wonder why we got the awful looking faux custom gn when suzuki were making this at the same time.

Yep, that's why I got mine. However, it's designed for Japanese-sized people and that is not me, so I ended up with my tender regions being squeezed into the tank. Hence the sale.
