E reg, blue minus engine. MOT fail.

Post by Newtsalad » Thu May 07, 2009 12:02 pm

I run a wanted ad in the yellow paper. I just had a call from a guy offering a E reg (87?) blue 90. He's put the engine & exhaust in his kiddie's go kart.
(ok, calm down, calm down! I'm not after sending someone round to bump him!)
He has the V5 but the bike failed the MOT due to a rotten tail. :(
He's out near Spalding, and was looking for around £60 to clear.
It's a bit far out for me, but if any member is interested PM me and I'll Put you in touch.

No Idea Norms, I lost his number in the end, so I don't know what happened. I'll delete this in a day or two when you've had a chance to read this reply.
I got two more lined up though, a 79 zz for a ton, but the guy's tried to fill holes under the seat,   and a F reg 69? 89? c90 with a knackered gearbox, free! :D :D :D :D :D :D

The knackered frame one sounds good, as I've a pukka frame on it's way to me, with V5 + MOT.

Is it up for grabs, or have you nabbed it?

Cheers Brother

Blimey Norms, nearly deleted the thread then! I'm going up to Fakenham tomorrow with aliengravy to get the free 90. I'll give the guy in Dereham a shout on the way, and see if I can meet up with him. TBH I have a 90zz with a good frame and the engine is missing parts, so if I can get him down to £70 - £80 I shall probably grab it. If I can't agree a deal with him, I'll see if I can't take a few snaps and give you dibs on it. Not promising as I may well have it, but I'll let you know.
Cheers, Newt.

The Dereham bike never came off, I called him this morning and he said it had gone. Oh well, should have got my ar*e in gear. He said he was in no rush, but I think once people let on they've decided to get rid, and they let on to others, things move fast. Lesson learned.
The free bike? A right touch. A very very nice man. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
