It's supposed to be a 2 piece rack however they only sent me the one piece which is useless without the other, still no reply from them either.

I;m glad I bought this via PayPal because I can claim against them through it and get my money back but probably excluding the 63 quid i had to pay in import fees.
Oh! That's a big inconvenience.

Anigai, I will buy the box after the Christmas Holidays, I won't be home to receive the package and I am afraid to order it without me being here.

Not to worry George that's actually a good idea, The company in Japan came back to me and said the description of the item wasn't translated correctly and asked me to return the item as it was the only thing included since they expect you to have a single seat c90 eith that specific rack already fitted.

I'm out of the import fees though as i'd have to claim it back through a lengthy process because if there's one thing the same for all governments around the world they don't like to give back money and will draw it out as long as they possibly can.

I'm half for just welding up my own rack now and trying to get one of the Rickman ones you mentioned.

Happy new year guys.

Any word on that box yet George?
Surely they aren't as busy now that the holiday season is long gone.

Excellant news, really appreciate this George.

Yesterday I had a hell of a time installing a new front brake arm, I broke off a piece of aluminium casting being thickheaded and using a hammer to hit something into where it ain't supposed to go unless you drill it out namely one of the little tabs that your brake cable sits in on the hub which you drill out to install a holder which lowers the cable to the level of the new 30% longer arm.

I ended up having to walk to an engineering shop and back twice in the same day because I don't have aluminium welding equipment then drilling the weld build up out to accomodate the cable.

It was worth it though, front brake has gained about 50% power and is less fatiguing to use due to needing less effort for the same result.

Why don't you have a project thread? And if you do have one, why don't I know about it? :D :P

I found that the EBF standard shoes are superior to those from Honda. Never felt the need for more braking power with these. Some say that the grooved ones are even better... never checked since the standard were enough for me (not that heavy at 80 kg (don't know what that would translate into stones, sorry)).

Does anyone wants a Rickman brand new top box? I've decided that I can't spend the money on this for now. Too many things going on at the moment.

Here it is:

Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

The box is the old type glass fibre big one. Some may remember them since the mould is the same as back in the 80s. It comes with 2 keys, fitting brackets and fixings. There is a small imperfection at one of the edges... maybe from the moulding process. You can't see it if you're not looking for it.

Price is £105 before delivery. Collection from Coventry. I can send via MyHermes for around £10.5 (approx. exact amount will differ upon address). This will be sold at the exact price that I've got it for.
