1987 Honda C90 Cub

Post by trustysteed » Sun Oct 02, 2011 12:26 pm

Hello,

For sale is my red 1987 Honda C90 cub, complete with top box and 10 months MOT remaining.

I bought this bike from a reputable bike dealership in August to use on a two week trip around Normandy and Brittany in northern France. In 7 days of riding we covered 1300km without so much as a flat tyre, touching 50mph at one point while fully loaded (with a slight breeze behind us and perhaps a little downhill!) and averaging something >100mpg!

The bike has now done about 13,500 miles, I've got about 10 years worth of MOTs to verify the mileage.

I only bought the bike on my credit card to use for the trip, and as much fun as it was, it now has to go as the credit card bill needs repaying :(

Looking for very close to what I paid for it, ie. ~£695 ovno.

Thanks for looking!

Hmm, sounds low! I might stick it on ebay for a bit, but in the meantime let's say offers close to £595 then?

£595 seems fair to me. Put it on ebay auction starting at £550 and see what happens. There's a lot of time wasters on there though  . Also stick it on gumtree for free (cost not to give it away  ). Where are you based? Are you near any ports cos the Irish might be interested.... although that is slightly frowned upon on this site :o :o :o

wow that does look very clean!the trouble with ebay is the fluctuation in prices from week to week.i'd say if you do put it on ebay do it as a classified ad,may stop you from being bombared with "do you have a buy in now price"messages.you don't want to loose money on such a clean bike.

Thanks for the replies, gumtree isn't a bad shout. I'm actually Irish myself Sinbad, from Dublin, but myself and the bike are in Northampton so it's a bit of a trek from Holyhead and the likes...
