its almost exactly the same as mine but has only reached £103-! its only had 103 hits as its quite a way down the threads/pagesand has only had 2 bids
suerly its worth a lot more than that!, ive spent about £400- on mine , if its not worth much ill say goodbye to rebuilding 90,s--(storms off in a huff) :?
..theres still just under 8 days left though ;)

Sorry you missed out there KST, was hoping it would be staying fairly local, looks like it will be away to Cardiff....maybe a c90club member? The winning bidder up to £670 was over in Ireland, it was a close run thing in the last few minutes!!! Good luck in your hunt for yours, they do have a habit of showing up when you least expect!!

Hey there ayjay, cheers on the w/d, it really is a total lottery with the older ones....must admit i'm not a fan of auctions with reserves either. I really did think the bike should have made a little more, but end of day we now know what a 1973 C70 is worth! Sadly they're not as popular as 50/90's and also rarer! New buyer has now been in touch, so he's away to Cardiff next weekend! I'm not sure on the investment potential of C90's etc....they really do cost a lot of money to restore properly, myself and vauxhallsteve1984 (my cuz) restore them as a hobby (the older 6V ones) and there's usually a 12V cub or two kicking round...I don't know if you've seen the CD90Z in the project threads we've got, but i ended up rebuilding the motor when it went bang 'big-style' and there wasn't much change out of 500 quid for that, i wouldn't even want to contemplate selling the bike and losing money, it is the 'one' that gives me the most grins per mile, and that is the priceless factor! :D :D :D

i don,t know if you saw one of my posts regarding my last project, it was a kawi triple 750 2 stroke 1972
i did it up and the whole thing cost me about £2500, and used it for about 6 months,( ive got some pics ill upload but they need resizing , ill post them on other bikes section)
anywayi sold it for £1,350(ish)---spent the dosh on a holiday (thailand)--as you do

I doubt it will sell at that. I had a mate, who's elder brother, killed his pillion on one of these, which was tuned to F**k. He was banned and had his arms in plaster. Out on the lash with a mate, they decided it would be fun to return home, cut the casts off his arms and take the bike out. The bike seized just north of the Army and Navy roundabout in Chelmsford, on the old A12. The pillion hit some street furniture and Tony watched his pillion bleed to death in the back of the ambulance.
The official police report stated the bike had seized changing from 3rd to 4th gear, at approximately 124mph. Awesome machines.

Well, she's been picked up and gone to Cardiff with her new owner today, am sorry to see her go.....I think the new owner is going to give her a good home though, you can just 'tell' can't you? :)

Odd that isn't it. Given the choice (and all in standard spec) I'd choose the early 70 over either 50 or 90 of the same age.
