Re: 1988 C90 Restored £1800
Just an update on this bike sale for anyone interested.
I sold the bike to a fellow club member on here and took a deposit. En-route to the MOT test station the carb choke plate fell off and the brand new engine devoured the screw which locked the engine solid.
After much back and forth I reluctantly withdrew from the sale and refunded the buyers deposit ( sorry once again Dave )
At this point I decided I was keeping the bike and purchases a brand new Loncin 125 semi auto engine, I also purchased YSS Suspension for front and rear and after dicking about with a cheap Chinese carb , I bought a Nibbi racing carburettor.
All in I've spent another £600 because I was keeping it.
I had big plans for the C90 but in all reality I probably wouldn't use it.
For this reason , and the fact I have 6 other bikes in my garage and can't move, Its back on the market.
It's now MOTd for a year and only needs a carb spinner or different manifold and filter.
All in the bike owes me £2300 but I'm a realist, it's a C90 at the end of the day.
The bike comes with the original Honda engine, a brand new zongshen engine that swallowed the carb screw and all other original Honda parts.
I'd take the original asking price of £1800 for a quick sale.
Thanks for taking the time to read, best regards, John.
