1987 Honda C90MG £2750 - withdrawn from sale
Just finished the restoration of my C90MG so now it is up for sale. It is MOTd until Feb 2023. It has a Rickman screen and rear rack fitted and has a solid frame. The price I am asking does not cover what I have spent on it but for me it has been a joy to work on it.

The plan was to sell it when I had completed the renovation, but when I got interest off another selling site it made me feel that I need to enjoy using it for a while. It is all about the experience of owning it and not about making a profit. The money spent on it exceeds the amount I am asking, so the ideal is to eventually to sell it at a price that I break even. This will fund another project. I do not see it depreciating especially as it is garaged and kept dry.

That's the beauty of owning classic small bikes.
They don't take up much room unlike, for instance, a classic car or similar. I know people with Bedford army lorries and land rovers and storage is a pain! A cub can just sit in the corner of a garage.
Just one piece of advice:-
If you're going to store the bike for months at a time, maybe drain the fuel tank, or at least with the fuel tap off, drain the carb out via the tiny rubber tube.
You do realise that when you sell it you'll probably miss it and wish you'd kept it!

Thanks for the advice but it will not be locked away as I will use it for local journeys.Devon general andy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 11:46 amThat's the beauty of owning classic small bikes.

Ideal . I noticed that you were looking at another one!!
Is yours getting lonely and needs a friend?
You have to be careful, Ha Ha, that's how I started and now the garage is full of them!

That wasn't a dig at you by the way!
Quite the opposite in fact. You did a great job in sorting your existing one out, after the disasterous start, and probably learnt a lot about them as well.
So good luck in your search,
Cheers Andy.

At this moment I am looking to buy a 1975 Honda Chaly that’s been customised and need finishing off. It has a new Lafin 110 motor fitted and requires a wiring harness to be fitted. Not sure at this stage how easy the work is going to be as it needs a Speedo cable, throttle assy. Are these motors different with the clutch. Are they manual where they need a clutch cable.Devon general andy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 11:48 amThat wasn't a dig at you by the way!
