The Munterbike is up for Grabs, Now Sold
OK due to my impending retirement and need to slim down the fleet, I'm offering the one and only Electric Munterbike up for sale.
Firstly please note; best not to go by it's looks.....you have been warned; it was painted in blue 'Smoothrite' by the previous elderly owner without any preparation of the plastics so it's bubbling off the handlebar topset nicely.
It's a 1989 C90MG so an original electric start bike, has a blue painted top box, and a cut down Rickman screen on the front (although I have to remove it to fit inside the van). Also has the pannier loops on the rear rack. The battery has been replaced with a 14ah Lithium re-located to the top box as I had this rather expensive battery left over from the Diesel Tiger re-commissioning.
MOT valid till 30 June 2018
It has a couple of orange running lights on the front - work as DRL's but originally fitted to identify the bike as 'tail end charlie' on club runs. The leg shields are 6v C70 but you get some aftermarket 12v types that have only been 'slightly' modified.
Tyres are Me22's with under 1000 miles on then, wheels are good although chrome isn't perfect.
Now the good bits:
It will come with:
1 spare engines, electric start and ready to run. The motor currently fitted, is a std 3 speed 85cc electric start (number matches the V5), it has a 12v C70 head and piston and sounds like it's going to expire any minute but has been running like that for 6k miles.
Other spares include:
1) snotty exhaust with Lamba sensor hole for carb tuning
2) 3 or 4 carbs, 2 of which have had the choke plates removed and un the intake smoothed
3) Honda exhaust, genuine, not brand new but less than a years use.
4) Honda rear (or front if you prefer) wheel rim and spokes (also some chinkie hubs without brake plates)
5) YSS front shocks for the forks (never got around to fitting them)
6) Large box of assorted spares, new brake shoes, axles, stub axles, bearings, bushes, cables - mostly new
I'll be at the Southern Softies this weekend (but need to ride it home) so you can have a poke and ride if that floats your boat.
Sadly I can't post piccies anymore due to Photobuckets new policy, but you may already have seen it on previous outings, there's an album of pictures but this is mainly for the engine experiments as it has been my rolling test bench for the past few years:

The high compression 4 speeder motor has been sold so the price has been reduced accordingly.

Indeed, but not on the mainland (no it's not Whitegi).
