Hi Guys,
Recently bought a Honda Chaly with a c90 engine swap. The tank has it's fuel cap in the middle and what looks like a fuel level sender at the the front which is unlike the tanks I'm seeing on google.
I want to be able to access the fuel tap but the petcock doesn't line up at all with the hole in the side of the frame.
My tank just has a threaded outlet on the bottom that a petcock screws onto and not the oval shaped ones with the o-ring that I'm used to seeing on bikes.
Mine looks like this and fits the tank but not the hole, it is far too low.

The other style I see is this, which will not fit my tank

Re: Honda Chaly Fuel Tap
The tank you have is a 12v CF70 one with the threaded boss on the bottom for the tap. The 6v ones have two screws and a large oval plate.
Photo of my 12v tank, tap fitted is the wrong one as was just finding out the thread size and this one has the pipe on the wrong side.
This is the right tap.

Re: Honda Chaly Fuel Tap
Ok thanks for the info.
My tank sticker says its a CF50P, not sure if it matters or not for this.
Don't suppose you know where I can find the correct petcock that isn't from Thailand?
I have taken some pictures to show just how deep the threaded boss is when the tank is installed, almost looks like even with the correct tap the black key wont line up.
Picture 1 is my Tap as far down the thread as possible
Picture 2 (a little blurry) is the tap installed on the tank in the frame
Picture 3 is the tank installed with no tap.

Re: Honda Chaly Fuel Tap
New tap i got came from Thailand as it was the only one i could find that was the right type. Most of the other types i saw had the fuel stub on the wrong side. Will take somemore photos of my tank and the new tap with them fitted in the frame.
New and old tap.
You can see the new tap is bigger bore, so better for what i want it for.
Fitted to the tank.
Will have to do some checking now i have the tank back from the powder coaters to see how it refits in the frame with the new tap.
