Engine oil
Doing are first plop enduro at mallory in April. Wanting to change the engine oil and filter (mesh). Just wondering what's the best oil to use for plop racing?

Hi !
We use Putolene formula v-twin 20w/40 its about the only wet clutch 20/40 you can buy.
20/50 oil is too thick and saps power, incidentally don't fit an oil cooler either it saps power pushing cold oil through it
and its a real source of oil leaks !!
You can buy 10/30,10/40 or even 5/40 motorcycle wet clutch oils but basically the oils are light oils with
viscosity improvers to help keep the the viscosity at higher temps and are Ok in plain bearings but these improvers
can break down and drop to their base viscosity under high stress situations like a high revving roller big end.
