Did you just reverse it to 1-up 2-down or to all down or all up?
I cross my fingers that your next engine will run just as good.

Re: Three hour endurance race
I had the gearchange setup like a road bike, lift the lever up for the next gear and so on. i'd been campaigning with the stock heel-toe arrangement since 2013, muscle memory got the better of me and i kept shoving the lever down instead of up
onwards and upwards, have had a 88cc in the works since last year.

Most road racers use down to upshift, so they don't have to put their foot under the lever when they upshift coming out of a curve, where the ground clearance is limited.
