You're better off mounting the cable bracket to the swingarm or brake torque arm. With it mounted to the body like you've done it'll change the cable tension as the suspension moves, which is bad

Well an updated version and im pretty happy with it.
Plus a bonus, i bought the exhaust from e bay for a pit bike for £15 new (on a wimm) and f*** me it fits, albeit i will have to get the last 300mm bent so as not to burn my ass. plus add a silencer.
so for less than 20 quid i got 2 things sort.. happy :D

I am liking this project. What size exhaust did you go for?
Plus do you have any more close ups of your rear brake set up pls. Want to do this my self, but trying to get a look at others first!

Bike looks dead smart tho!

Bought the exhaust from ebay for £15 then cut and welded the end of it so it didnt burn my ass then added the end can also from ebay for £10
Just search for pit bike exhausts.
If you read back you should be able to make sense of the back brake mod. it was pretty simple really.

Happy with the way the exhast works and looks. :D

I see an issue with this back brake setup, the rod will be moving up and down with the suspension continually pulling or pushing the brake arm. Effectively shortening or lengthening the rod, could make lever adjustment difficult

The brake arm only needs a few mm of movement when adjusted correctly and theses bikes really rely on the rear brake in plop as the front is so poor.

I've taken a cable to the rear brake torque arm and fixed the cable stop there hence the distance between cable stop and brake arm is constant. Works a treat and I've never been out braked! Yet!
