Tune your guitar every time you pick it up to play, guitars can go out of tune sooner than you think.
Avoid leaving your guitar in areas with extreme temperature changes, this will definitely mess up the tuning and possibly warp the wood. Dropping or bumping the guitar will also make it go out of tune.
...eh, cap'n?

Curious which tyres people use, especially in the wet?

Previously we ran Conti Gos (wet and dry). They weren't too bad in the dry, but just tragic in the wet.

Think of spending a little (lot) more this time and investing in some bridgestone bt39ss - be interested to hear what people think?

ALSO - AND THIS IS THE BIG QUEATION: There were some teams running full racing wets at Anglesey last time out - anyone know what they were?

Bridgestone BT39SS excellent at Mallory in the hot weather and could still grind the pegs in the wet at Angelsey.

Racing wets are Dunlop KR ###. They are GP 125 front wets. Don't think you can work the 125 wets hard enough to make them work effectively. Spent many years racing 125 and 250 GP so talking from experience!

Not had issues with the me22, only ever slipped once on the sharp bend at Mallory near the gate.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Sounds like the Bridgestones are worth a punt then!

As for the dunlops - 125 (I'm assuming tyre size here) sound a little bit on the large size for a C90, no? No way my CBR's 120 tyre is fitting through those forks! A quick google suggests you can get a 95, but that seem large too... is there smaller sizes, or does the profile of the tyre mean it does fit the forks?

I can well believe that there's not enough corners/power to keep them warm though - road temps compared with track temps vary a ton on my 600. That being said - there's surely not enough corners/power to keep any tyre at proper track temp - so will a cool wet be better than a cool bt39ss in the wet? I'm thinking it will depend entirely on how much water is there.

Was amazed how many people were running the ME22's at Anglesey - they're without a doubt better than the Conti's. I watched in frustration as I was passed time and time again by riders on these. They weren't passing as fast as the boys on the full wets were though - knee down in the wet around the outside of me. Amazing! Bastards.

Mike.

We used Conti gos at Mallory in the dry they were OK , At Anglesey it was wet they were a disaster just like riding on ice !!
Our advice on these - just dumped em now , we're in the process of trying other tyres , some folks were on proper wets at Anglesey the grip looked phenomenal ; I can't source them though !!
