While between fixing printers all this week down the shed i just could not keep me hands of her,
Removed the air filters and they just crumbled in my hands, ( a good sign she has not been played with ) Got new head bearings ( tapper rollers ) :)
and a new battery,

My yellow 2CV van had a filter in a similar state - the motor ate it.

Resurrected a 1978 model last year after a complete engine rebuild changing every bearing and fishing the bits of piston and valve out that had been going round in there from a previous failure.

FYI another bike where you can just swap everything for 12v (except coil) and significantly improve the lighting. Interestingly it is in every gear locked side by side with my CBF125. Absolutely nothing between them in top speed either apart from down hill. CBF will rev a little more and pull about 5 mph more.

Great :D , thank you. I was wondering if they all where interchangeable,
Having problems finding some parts, want to go OEM with all the parts i need to replace, except plug and oil of course :) ,
But this one is so early ( giver way being the front fork design ) that they fitted the silver CG100 HM-22M headlight shell, 61301-391-000MA
MA=Silver  Hope to find one at the classic mechanics show.

We put the old CB100N on front end on. It's a proper bitsa. Never liked traditional CG front ends. Too sit up and beg with poor brakes.

Later Brazil parts all fit the early engine, high output stator with standard yellow white lighting coil and Cub style regulator gives even better output but still using points.

Primary drive, clutch and oil pump off Brazil fit too but are different so can't be mixed with jap bits, need changing as a set. CB100N casing and oil pump give you rev gauge drive if you want it.

lovely, and to highlight the beauty of older bikes.

to adjust tappets..

CG125:
1. remove rocker cover
2. T mark flywheel.
2. adjust..

Honda Bros

1. Remove seat (with key).
2. Remove tank (rear bolt, front bolt, then thread rear into
front pin and pull. Fuel lines-turn off petcock.)
3. Remove airbox (front nut on stud, unclip wiring harnesses,
remove purge lines, unclamp from carb throats.)
4. Remove horn (one bolt--clearance needed for radiator).
5. Remove radiator mounting bolts. (two in bottom, one in double
shear at top with nut). Careful--mounting bracket is weaker
than torque needed to shear Locktite.
6. Remove mounting stud for thermostat (same stud as air box).
7. Remove fan mounting bolts (three) and electrical connector.
8. Remove inset plug wires (one from each cylinder).
9. Remove the two valve-cover mounting bolts from each cover.
10. Remove valve covers. Rear is obvious. Front must be carefully
snaked under thermostat, through the front of the frame, rotated
down behind radiator (fan moved aside) and pulled out horn-side.
At least this is how I managed to do it. You may be able to
leave the fan and horn in place, but it isn't worth it.
11. Remove crankshaft bolt cover and timing mark cover (left side
of crankcase).

 cry :)
