Honda Melody circa 1984

Post by KBAR1400 » Mon Sep 12, 2011 1:17 pm

Discovered a 1984 (B reg) Honda Melody in local dealers shop – 1 Owner, only 1980 miles and a minter.
Sold serviced & mot’ed. They sold it new!!!!
Thought it would be great bike for the Girlfriend to chase the Honda C90 around the lakes.

Looks good deal to me – as they are becoming cult status too now as well –

Wants £500 for it - Which i think is fair :?:
Anybody have experience of them – the good and the bad :?:

Just as long as its the Melody (Deluxe?) not the horrid mini-melody.....frames were buggers for rot and actually snapping, but by the the sounds of it shouldn't be a problem by the mileage and the condition you say. Tough little engines, quick off the mark and should get near to 40mph....just keep an eye on that 2 stroke tank staying topped up and you'll be fine :)

That sounds like top money for one of those, but in the condition you describe it's fair enough.

The Melody is a pretty little scooter, shame it's a 2-stroke like ;)

Thanks for the advice & much appreciated :)

Girfriend has decided to tile her bathroom instead with her cash, so Melody idea now scrapped
