ANF 125

I have now done a deal for a Honda ANF 125, just a bigger c90 to me and runs well, but on the clock face is gear numbers 1 to 4 that should light up but they dont? anyone know of a fix for this? many thanks. Rob.

Sorry, I don't. My ANF has been well behaved so far, but I have heard of something similar before. The other problem with them is that sometimes it thinks the side stand is down and that in turn cuts the igition!

Last I heard manuals are hard to come by, if you find out different please let me know

Also don't thrash too much, I find it cooks the oil! and I've yet to find a dedicated oil cooler.

And no, I haven't owned a 'Jehova'. I have ridden Bogger's though, does that count?

They're good bikes, true. It does seem that folk with both, and there's quite a few, don't really see them in the same light.

Lack of manual is a problem, A BIG PROBLEM HAYNES!!!!. There's a very good chance neutral and all gear positions are send via a datastream single wire system to the instrument panel. Wiring looms are getting thinner as it's silly to use 5 wires when one will do, they may well have done it the old fashioned way but who knows. If it is a bunch of wires try earthing them out and seing if you can get the gear position cluster to light up. If mine ever fails I'll post the result, but as it's not even a year old I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

Only ever advise I can offer is the usual termianl and connector check. Corrosion, broken wires, that sort of thing

All sorted it was the change switch up the shoot, £15.00 from lings honda and all working ok. Rob.

Very glad it's sorted I'm dreading any failures on mine because as 81 says ....... No Haynes! and Cub knowledge doesn't really apply.

Where is this switch detector? I'm trying to learn from your experience ....... sounds like you've been working on your own

Hi the switch is located left hand side of engine next to the gear lever you have to take the plastic cover that hides the front sprocket off to bolts and it sits on the side of the crank case just 2 10ml bolts and it slips off disconect the terminal block and fit new, i find it easy to work on just like a c90. Rob.

You can as numerous owners have done , just resolder the connections & refit!

hmmmm... just bought a 2006 last of the carbed Innovas and I was hoping finding a manual wouldn't be such a mission. Can't find anything on-line unless it's in bloody Thai. (Honda Wave 125 is the same)

Anyone got any linkies to manuals?? I just want to do valve clearances and a full service - would rather not trial and error it.
