Well its smooth engine and gearbox, reasonably ,comfy and rides well, has a great finish unlike modern bikes .
I will use it for the upcoming trip and probaby px it or sell and look into a v strom 650

Its so fast that its actually a bit boring trying to stick to the speed limits around here ,which are enforced ,Surrey and Sussex road teams are how shall we say ,keen, with mobile speed traps near any biker venues and average speed roads popping up all over .Cameras on lots aof A and B roads too.
Went to look at a 3 yr old tracer 700,it had more corrosion that this 2006 bike !
I know its how much you twist the wrist but ive only opened it up a couple of times before you know it your into no license territory

George worked in the motor industry for a major company. He reckoned that cost cutting after the 2008 crash means that build quality of anything made after then will not be as good as anything made before 2008.

I came to the conclusion some years ago that a bike is more entertaining and rewarding that struggles to exceed speed limits and/or handle being ridden at speed.

Thinking of a v strom 650
Looks a good all rounder and a good mix of comfort speed and reliability

They are, one of the best engines in any bike. Don’t discount the gladius. Best engine build and adjustable suspension, if you are happy with the styling and the name.
