Did any of the Lifan Vintage cubs ever surface?
I did think about buying one of the rolling chassis' but they were all gone by the time I'd faffed around!

Re: Chinese c90 copy
I've never seen one but when MBC were importing a batch of them engineless I emailed them saying I'd have one, had no answer. Shortly afterwards I called into the shop in Barnsley and repeated the request. About a year later on their FB page they had one left but by that time I'd lost interest and the temporary use of my right leg.
What I do have (and need to get around to doing something with) is a Kepspeed C100 type front end to bolt onto the Kayak and a brand new Lifan 110 ES motor which will be as good and look similar.

That's what I fancied doing, having the C100 style front end on the Super Cub.bikerbaker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 10:32 am

Is your leg all back to normal now?

The leg is as good as it will ever be thanks. I've been using the Cub and Wave this weekend wearing a new pair of "race boots". It's like wearing 2 splints and strangely I don't seem to limp as much. The downside is that I need to rotate both gear levers a bit, fine on the C90 but have to drop the step on the Wave.
I have no idea where they went or even if only one actually arrived. They had a history of bikes not actually making their way North I seem to remember. I do know he sold off the last batch of Kayaks to a guy who lives near Squires at Sherburn in Elmet, he has sold one and still has 9 in a shed, no urgency to get rid of.
