Honda ANF 125i innova kickstart no resistance

Hi all.

Am in the process of getting the lads bike back on the road after a small spill. Replaced the oil strainer and kick start spring. Took more than a few attempts to get it all to line up but eventually it was back together.

Problem is, now the kickstart doesnt turn the engine over. It does return nicely however, so its not a total loss.

I thumb the starter for a second without the plug cap on and its turning over.

Son is hoping to be able to use it for his holiday in a week or so. Can he use it and we fix when he comes back? Or am I gonna have to break it to him that his biking dreams have gone to pieces?

Sounds like a badly adjusted clutch.

Sounds like you are going to have to open it up again. If you've had it apart and it was ok before, it's something you have done.

Make sure clutch is adjusted correctly first!!
Do it twice if you're not sure!
If still no good?..... well, yes, I think it's time to open the case again. As said, if it was all fine before then something has not been put back correctly? Or missing?

Firstly, apologies for the delay in replying. It's been hectic.

Clutch adjustment was the culprit. I'd cleaned the adjuster thread, and it wasn't at its last point.

Which leads me forward into more challenges. The threads weren't too bad, not enough to justify why it was so awkward to turn. I took the cover back off and found the lever comp. clutch very worn. There's two types;

22810-kph-900 More expensive and not in stock.
22850-kph=900 Cheaper and in stock!

The problem is thus. The unavailable part fits all bikes. The other fits up to 2007 bikes, yet if you go directly to the 2007 bike, it lists the unavailable part!?

Do i gamble and pretend ignorance if it does not work? Wait for the part to show? (Needs to be here by the 15th)

Wemoto list the same EBC plates for a 2006 and 2012 bike

Its not clutch plates, at least not how I know them.
