125's are expensive to insure.
The edit option vanishes quickly on here. Just wanted to add that is going to be a big negative for the new Cub 125 and Monkey 125 for me :(
I agree, nearly four grand for the bike, then the insurance company will' have your pants down' because its a new model. Its getting less appealing.

Yep postcode does make a difference but in recent years it’s always been about £100 for the c90 and the 125 was £130 £180 with AA or RAC as I’ve chopped and changed between these 2 companies. It was mentioned by RAC that these moped thefts (where your bike gets hijacked) is pushing up insurance in London.

It has made insurance ridiculous in London. I had my renewal quote for the Innova last month and it has gone up by £116. Very few companies are willing to insure scooters or bikes classed as scooters in London postcodes. I know people who have given up riding because of insurance/thefts. Sad times.

Those wonderful people at Bennets quoted £384.00 for my c90.
MCN sent me an email offering £217.00 including breakdown. TPF&T :)
And that was based on info I gave them in 2017.
Not cheap but I do live in Good Old London Town (innit) :D
It'll cost me £50 to change vehicle, which I will HAVE TO DO before April 19th. :x

It's simply that they expect your bike to be stolen within a year (that's what their data shows).

Basically a failure to maintain law and order.
