I don't know why Honda didn't give it a bigger fuel tank. It's not very generous, and they could have used some more of that underseat space for a bigger tank.

Try the sintered pads for £15, they reduce the required effort by 50%, so you don't need both hands when breaking hard from 55 MPH

I will look into these, thanks for the tip .
Who knows but at least with the bit of storage space, I guess you could put a 1lt fuel bottle in there if needed.

I could get a litre bottle, toolkit, waterproof trousers in there. But check first, I wouldn't want to put petrol in the SH300 underseat storage as it gets quite warm.

Put some holes in the collar in the filler neck and fill it up to the top ,the collar is about as thick as a bean tin so a sharp screw driver and a tap with a hammer will do the job. The collar is there to prevent the fuel leaking when it expands in the hot weather , 30 degrees plus

Thanks for the tip the only thing that bugs me is if I catch the side stand, when changing down gears my bike cuts off thinking about wrapping a bungy cord round it .wightegi wrote: ↑Tue May 29, 2018 5:14 pmPut some holes in the collar in the filler neck and fill it up to the top ,the collar is about as thick as a bean tin so a sharp screw driver and a tap with a hammer will do the job. switch at the top of the side stand .Not sure if it is an MOT item though .
