Innova bleeding disc brake

Hello Guys,
I don't want to seem a pest by posting about every problem I encounter but,..
I just put new brake piston seals in. I'm bleeding the brake. Every day I try to bleed the brake. Usually I see air bubbles come out. But, irrespective of how many bubbles come out, I'm just not getting any resistance on the brake lever. How long will I be destined to continue this. Any hints and tips or even anecdotes on bleeding the Innova front brake will be muchly welcomed :)

I Always pump the fluid up from the bottom if i have issue, a large syringe and pipe on the blead nipple.

I've got a Haynes manual if you're interested?

I like the idea. I've got a large syring so I'll give it a go today :-)

No, but thanks all the same. I've got one too and there isn't much wisdom Haynes has to offer in this matter of brake bleeding :-/

Not an Innova, but I fitted a new front brake caliper to my CB500/4 last year (a regular job with this design as many will remember) a genuine Honda one too, and then spent several hours and a great many attempts trying to get the brake to bleed. Tried all ways, from both ends with no joy.

So off to bed, and rose early the following day to have another go. Went into the garage, tried the lever more in hope than anything else and it was perfect - still is!

Did the "Honda gnomes" visit during the night and fix it, or did it just fix itself?? Who knows but it worked..........

John.

They can do if the reservoir hole is big enough for bubbles to escape from by themselves. Some work better if you tie the lever back overnight too.

One way I have found that works is to ‘flutter’ the brake lever and you should see little bubbles being forced out into the reservoir. Take care you don’t squirt brake fluid onto paintwork or eyes etc.

Sometimes, leaving the brake lever pulled back to the handlebars with a cable tie and left overnight works.
