Now then,

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but new member and on the hunt for Innova support.

I've fitted a similar exhaust system (also from Greece) to my carby, but it's running ever so slightly lean, going off the plug. I dare say it's lost a touch of top end pace, which might also be to do with it, more airflow, less bang.

I'm aware of Allens Performance for jets, but can anyone tell me which apply to the Innova? The APBF4A-B code doesn't give me much to work from. I'm just after a handful of the usual sizes, assuming 80 and 85 will be somewhere close.

Look forward to the replies. :D

Thanks,
Keith

Hi Keith they are the same as a Cub, 4mm thread and 7mm in legnth, standard is #75 so try an #80 or #85, i also removed the PIAR valve which makes the Carb easier to tune.

Hi Terry,

Perfect! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I've gone for 78, 80, 82, 85. Assuming it'll be somewhere around 80 so it'll give me something to tinker with later.

I've no intention of modifying it any further as far as the engine is concerned. I'd go as far to say it's lost top end since fitting this pipe, so no guarantee it'll stay on and it'll be back to stock main jet.

Didn't actually realise it had a PAIR valve fitted. Will look into that.

Ta,
Keith

Hi I have an innova (2008) so it’s fuel injection. I just wondered how it’s going with a big bore kit on an innova .i have looked at the same kit as posted earlier and wasn’t sure how it would work with the efi. Takegawa make a kit but it seems a really expensive option . I’m looking for a bit more power not making the bike totally unreliable . Is this possible ?
Any help appreciated.

I believe that the barrel and piston are different on Carb and injection bikes, and the difference is the provision for a sensor, so it wont work, if you can find the right barrel
seeing as the bike fuel and air is electronically controlled it should simply remap its self to suit the new barrel, try Faddybike in Germany, they do kits and a larger injectors.

Some have reported that merely tying the sensor to the cylinder is sufficient, otherwise you could braze/epoxy/Lumiweld/ the sensor onto the cylinder.

I've been playing with the idea to do that, since the correct EFI cylinder is so hard to get at a decent price.

Yes I have had a quick look at faddybikes . I also have looked at the kit for the carb version on line and had confirmation that it does not have the oil sensor mount. I guess that can be sorted. I’m more bothered about the fuelling. Not sure I want to mess with the injection and wouldn’t know where to start. Has someone else fitted a kit to an efi bike and got it to work if so that would be a great help.

Could try looking at Honda MSX/Grom fourms, they are very simular engines?
