On my 3rd sh 125,nearly 80000 miles up on all of them, did have a sh 300i,but some xxxxxx xxxxxx nicked it,but if you look around, you get get a Honda sh 125 mode, pre. reg. for £1550.i know its a bit more.
Managed to get hold of a sh125i 05, 6000 ish miles, one owner......used with his motor home. Hopefully going to pick it up this week. Looking forward to trying it out. I know I won't be able to compare it the sh300, but I'm sure it has its own strengths.
Ive had both,300 and 125, both exellent machines, the 125 motor is a peach, Im sure you will be happy.
Cheers I can't wait.....looking forward to hitting the country roads with it......however it does mean I've got to sacrifice my innova inj which I've had just short of a year or my cub which I've only had a month.....so it looks like my innova may be going simply because I haven't had much of a chance to play with the cub.

One more question........I noticed the sh isn't straight off the throttle....is called throttle lag...... I seem to need to pull the throttle back quite a bit before it sets off.....is this normal?

Or maybe just some slack that might need taking up....( I'll have to check any free play in cable) as the reponse to the throttle seems delayed.

Is this your first T&G ?
There is a small lag as the clutch/transmission winds up.
Normal ;)

No.....I've owned a fes250 and 2 sh300's. The lag was delayed enough to make you think twice when pulling out..... :o .I've taken up the slack on the throttle cable and it sorted it........surprised me how much of an effect it had.

Cheers

On the hardest settings, there are bloody hard, just try on all of them and see.

What tyres do you use on your sh125's?

Also do you take your rear wheel off yourself when it's tyre changing time......easy or pain in the ass?

If the tyre shop takes your wheel off how much does it tend to cost?

Thanks for your advice.

Quite like the sh125i but the sh300 looks like a great bike.Bit pricy though,I can pick up a KTM duke 390 for similar money
The riders cub is going shortly so have to either decide or dig out the cub or the w650 !
