Cam chain replacement
Can a Cub's cam chain be replaced without pulling the crank out ?
I'm assuming that the engine is roughly similar on the Wave.
Just thinking ATM
The Wave makes a hell of a racket when it starts cold but after the oil gets around it's fine.
CCT is the same as a 12v C90.

Yes but will need head off and flywheel/plate,head has to come off to get the roller in the barrel out of the way.Best to fit new rollers and the rubber at the top of the tensioner at the same time.stevew wrote:Can a Cub's cam chain be replaced without pulling the crank out ?

Not sure if the innova engine is like the Wave, but myself and BCP did the cam chain on BCP's engine with head and flywheel off. Get yourself a new guide and tensioner as well while its apart. Its a easy job.

Re: Cam chain replacement
C90 cam chain can be replaced with out removing the head, its fiddly but can be done.

Re: Cam chain replacement
Can be done without removing the head. Take the cam tensioner out. Flywheel and inner cover can then be removed ( can knackered the o rings). Remove the cam cover, undo the cam sprocket and with a bit of luck, with a bit of jiggling cam chain will come out. Make sure you sort the timing marks outcorrectly when re assembling.
