We'e been terminated!

Post by Bill/Rubery » Sat Dec 03, 2016 10:23 am

Hello Vox Owners...I went into my local motorcycle shop on Saturday to buy a disc brake lock. Whilst I was there I asked the Boss where the Vox's were for sale?? He said the Vox has been discontinued!!....So there you are...fashion and motorcycles are prone to be fickle....

It's because it's a carb bike and won't meet Euro 4 emissions regulations. It would also need a linked braking system to comply.

There will be a lot of discontinued models after December 31st and onwards.

Looks like there are going to be lots of old stock going on sale in the new year.

Still tempted to get the last Euro3 compliant Black Douglas........ :o

In which case I'd have to sell the 400Auto, the Cubs, the CG and the wife.

Sinnis (On The Wheel, the importers) used to have a stack of bikes around. Their showroom has around three 125s now, all with discounted prices.

That said, I bet there will be a fair few pre-registered bikes around for sale in early 2017.

I'm tempted to grab their last Trackstar myself.

Seats a tad thin (I've tried the one in John Parker Motorcycles) but it's a lovely looking bike.

Sounds a bit rich from someone contemplating buying a hardtail doesn't it.

It's (probably) a reference to the Black Douglas pictured and mentioned in DD's comment above. :D

Thanks for the replies, I don't give a toss about why the Vox is not available as the bike is great to ride and own. When I am out riding the bike I feel great and glad I purchased the bike and have the ability to explore the back lanes....instead of being stuck at home!

I learned that the vox was being discontinued when I visited the NEC bike show last month and spoke to the staff at the Peugeot stand. Like Bill I enjoy my bike and intend to keep it . The only worry is whether parts will be readily available in the future.
