2 wheel drive
Introducing the Ubco 2x2 Off Road Electric Utility Bike
Hello, we thought you should be the first to hear about a very different new e-bike. New Zealand's Ubco 2x2 is a very powerful off-road twist-and-go bike with a 1kW brushless motor in each wheel, a 2kWH Lithium battery pack, power outlets for charging phones and tools and luggage racks and lugs galore.
There are several fleets of Ubco's 2x2 ebike already in New Zealand, with farmers, tourism facilities and conservation areas being early adopters. They're tough as nails and built to operate in a climate at least as cold and wet as the UK's.
An Ubco can climb a 30% slope, travel for up to 60 miles and be loaded up with luggage. You can plug in electric appliances when you arrive. They're also working on making it highly connected for security, journey tracking and fleet management.
The Ubco 2x2 was originally designed as a work bike, for use on farms and in forests, but as you'll see from the videos, it certainly has a fun side when you just want to go off the beaten track and explore. It's strictly an off-roader - a road legal version will follow in 2017 - but we know some of our customers will have somewhere a powerful twist-and-go off-roader like the Ubco would be useful.
Arrange to see one for yourself
We will have a couple of these available to see and test ride later this year, so if you'd like to be one of the first to take a look at the Ubco 2x2 when it arrives, please get in contact online, call 0333 900 5050or send an email to me and we'll book you in.

I like it. Also the range is ok if they are telling the truth! Most battery vehicle stated mileage is a bit like manufacturers stated mpg. Not very accurate.

Even though NZ dollars are not worth a lot it's £4.5 K.
