Goldwings!!!
Before we start, I do realise that I'm setting myself up for a mighty pisstake here.
I'm seriously considering buying a Goldwing!
I'd like a late version of the old 1500, but if I could run to an 1800 I would possibly go for it.
I have some history, having owned a very nice 1500 Valkyrie some years ago, but as far as proper Wings go, I'm a novice.
Tips, genuine advice and experience are welcome. Pisstaking is, alas, inevitable!

Well at least it's not a Harley.............
They are no bad motorcycles anyway no matter how's much bling they can carry.

Re: Goldwings!!!
It'll be a bit tricky finding room for the auxillary fuel tank.
A great ride though, go on, you know you want one.

It'd be a bugger trying to remember which part of the luggage space I put it in!Brian-TQY wrote:It'll be a bit tricky finding room for the auxillary fuel tank.

Re: Goldwings!!!
You often find older, one owner, very well looked after examples about.
This one came on the market in Cardiff only yesterday in fact.
83,000 miles
1991
Very good condition
£3000

...and that can be regarded as LOW mileage.

Re: Goldwings!!!
I have worked on both well over the years almost all versions !
I think the 1800 is a much better bike alley frame and swing are and the rear brake while still a pain to get to is easer and better Shared system with the ST1300
I prefer riding the 1800 feel planted and surprising quick

I like the fact members have a nice array of different bikes. The Goldwing is certainly a fascinating bike! Would you keep the W800?

I'm not convinced this would be a recommendation......wightegi wrote:GL500 Silverwing interstate. All the comfort of a wing but the handling of a CX500 .
