hi i rode an aspencade 1100 great bike never let me down in the end i just wanted a change and changed to a 1100 pan european but if i change again it will be to a 1500

Tell me a bit more about the gl1100 if you could be so kind please.
It's fractionally lighter than my RT but how is the weight spread? I'm presently looking at a 1980 with 53000 miles at £1995. Apparently smoking on the left hand side on start up. Could that be anything to do with the bike being on the side stand, I wonder?
