Re: Goldwings!!!
Yes, I've followed the debate on "Darkside" car tyres.
The Kawasaki VN2000 and the Honda Silverwing scooter are also bikes that folk seem to fit car tyres to.

Re: Goldwings!!!
The Fury is actually a brilliant bike to ride. I can only describe it as a sanitised chopper!
Truth be known I have actually considered one in the past, then remembered why I stopped riding Harleys in particular and cruisers in general. Not wanting to be helped off a motorcycle again, I've moved onto bikes I can move around on.
I'm looking at 'Wings (with side glances at Pan Europeans) because the purpose of the bike is to carry two in comfort with luggage on weekend trips, plus motorway rides up to see my Son.

Re: Goldwings!!!
I thought of a Pan at one time. Sat on a gorgeous metallic red one in Thunderroad but was immediately struck by the annoyance of the footpegs digging into my legs when my feet were on the floor. I felt I had to splay my legs further out to stop this happening, by which time I came to the realisation that my legs were too short. Sob!Capitano wrote:

Re: Goldwings!!!
They do, plus there's a huge range in prices seemingly irrespective of mileage. Bikes over 80k that haven't had cam belt changes are cheaper as it's a major job and one that Honda recommend every 100k.fatboytours wrote:Love spending somebody else's money. They certainly seem to hold their value
I'm quite long legged so I don't suffer that problem. I know the red you mean, too. I think that Honda made the GL1800 in that colour for one model year, too.knapdog wrote: I thought of a Pan at one time.
