I went to Belgium for the weekend (Bikers Loft place) and could still put my helmet and jacket in the top box when parked up as all my weekend clothes were in a sports bag under the seat.

Very civilised it was.

Loads of tobacco space on the way back.

Ummm. Decided to ignore Bogger & Knapdog's advice. BMW F800 GT. Wobbled back around the moving car park that is the M25 so no real test yet. Think I will add to Newt's BMW thread rather than hijack yours!

Been on there quite a bit and I do get what you say !!
One of the attractions of the maxi was that I reckoned it would be a bit like a car in that I could just drive (ride) it lots and do very little maintenance
Yeah, yeah I know !! It won't be like that but one can always dream !
Mine had 1700 miles on it when I got it so all it really needs is a good and thorough "riding" :)
One thing MM has taught me is that the Sym is a reliable bike as there are quite a few owners and all they ever talk about is mpg, tyres and shinyness !
Sometimes they do delve into technical stuff like how to change a bulb but that's about it.
I recently enquired about how the rear rack was fitted and , guess what, zero replies

Steve, I've got a couple of monolock plates and a fixing kit for a Burgman 650, if it helps. On the Burgman you just have to fit spacers to the back rest bolt positions to fit one. Very simple.

Do you know why I like motorbikes....

Case in point:

Foresight - find the fuel leak?

its probably because there arn't many SYM owners on there. On newish models your only more likely to here about bulb changes than engine rebuilds.
