If all goes to plan-----------
Re: If all goes to plan-----------
My OH has a Lexmoto Arrizona cruiser-style 125 and whilst the spares are available, the prices are eye-watering
Her bike was stolen but recovered in early May with about £300.00 worth of damage. ...we know who did it, just give us time
One of the parts broken was a plastic chain guard...new ones cost...wait for it...£35.00, just for a piece of injection-moulded plastic -just a big rip off.

My moulded plastic chainguard on my Triumph Sprint RS was cracked from new. I had a new one fitted under warranty at the first service.Urban Spacy Man wrote: One of the parts broken was a plastic chain guard...new ones cost...wait for it...£35.00, just for a piece of injection-moulded plastic -just a big rip off.
The service bill came with the chainguard price added, then subtracted. It was over £180 in 2001.

I like it, but early days.
There was me saying I needed to get a lighter bike so I sold the CB500 and then I end up with a heavier one !!!
I was amazed how low it carries it's weight. Doesn't feel too bad at all.
Engine feels good too, for some reason I'm always happy with singles
Actually when you look at pictures of naked scoots it looks like a really sensible way of laying out a motorbike.
Then when you look at a NC 750 undressed it looks similar. No wonder it sells well.
The market here in the UK just isn't ready for big scoots yet..........................maybe I'm part of a pioneering, trendsetting group here in the UK
BTW,. Oh how I hope Cap is wrong !!!!!!!!

Giveover....10 years behind the curve more likely, remember that Silverwing in the Ace Cafe adventure bike day with the outsized extra tank under the seat and stickers from all over Europe and Asia?stevew wrote:

Whatever. Good luck with the scoot Steve and hope you keep this one for a while at least!
I'm off to Guildford now and may return with something.

I was riding maxi scooters 10 years ago, too. I don't think that the UK will ever be a big market for them.Diesel Dave wrote:Giveover....10 years behind the curve more likely, remember that Silverwing in the Ace Cafe adventure bike day with the outsized extra tank under the seat and stickers from all over Europe and Asia?stevew wrote:

It will be a big grin inducing ride, and you soon get used to having usable, lockable storage space. I could go away camping for a weekend with what fitted under my Gilera Nexus's seat.
