Haahaa! Yes, we have good taste don't we? At least it looks similar, mind you could be the haze drifting off of the Thames changing the colour.knapdog wrote:Nice colour, bb.

Yup, can't see it in the mirrors. I do have a nice black Rickman box that could act as an airbrake. The panniers (not arrived yet) are on the large side and will probably soon get a good kicking.Diesel Dave wrote:Top box higher than screen..........

Rob, your blue bike is in my watch list I just realised!
Not much chance of me bidding sadly, I'm a bit strapped at the mo, had a few expenses and I have the XL as a project. But getting a feel for these old bikes and will doubtless have a punt in the future.
Bikerbaker.... Lovely machine, that's a beauty!

Re: What's the better BMW's to go for?
I found this paint defect on the RT swinging arm:
Took it to Riders Cardiff for them to have a look.
Not only are they going to put on a brand new swinging arm, they're replacing the shaft drive as well as there was the tiniest gnats doodah of a paint defect on it that I didn't even see.
I certainly can't argue with the BMW Warranty.

Weirdly enough it didn't make reserve , then I get a message asking what the reserve was , replied honestly and turns out he's happy to pay it ! Spoken on the phone and hopefully it's going SunNewtsalad wrote: Rob, your blue bike is in my watch list I just realised!

Nice one Rob! I quite often ask what the reserve is. No harm in asking, and can save a lot of wasted watching.

Re: What's the better BMW's to go for?
Personally, whenever I see anything on ebay with a "Reserve", I never bid on it as generally, the seller is not really playing the game. The actual price they're after is, in my experience, quite high. There is a tendency for them to get their mates to bid on the knowledge that they won't be committed to buy. They'll bid right up to the last pound of the reserve and the seller then sits back and waits and waits and waits, until the fly falls into the Venus Trap, which is why I never bid.
Everyone to their own of course, and no offence meant to forum "Reservists".
