On a serious note. Drop the needle a notch and see how you go on. Costs nowt and a quick 'fix'. BCP had the same sort of issue. I advised him to do as I've suggested and it's cured the problem on his CG.

Yes!Harry Notts wrote:At full speed and on a flat stretch of road , if I roll the throttle back approximately 1/8" on my CG125 clone, the revs rise by a couple of hundred rpm. I've tried to fathom this one out using my pea sized brain and now it hurts,so my question is: Does this mean that the main jet is too big?
Possibly 2 sizes.
Check the plug colour & look for the soot ring.
Don't pay any attention to Bogger, you could always ask him how his CD200 is running; that usually set's him off.....

Arry do not go looking for Sootys ring. As an aside, the CD just so happens to be running fine, thank you very much. Slow, but still fine. Bloody Southern Scousers

Thanks lads, I'll get the Stillsons and Thor mallet out this weekend and do some delicate tinkering on this jewel of a bike .

Cheers Johnboy, it's been done over the year two of us and I've enjoyed (almost) every moment; lots of challenges and the CG put up a good fight ... But definitely worth bringing back from the dead

Wow that is tidy. When the CD200 goes I'm going to get another CG125.
