A friend's Son had one near identical to that one and swapped the tank and side panel badges for Honda ones.
Interestingly enough his had a similar aftermarket silencer fitted but he stuck on a pattern exhaust from WeMoto after complaints from neighbours about him starting it up at 5 am! It ran better and he claimed it was quicker with the more restrictive pattern pipe on. It was a LOT quieter, I know that.
It was a few years ago now but I put him onto WeMoto for the pipe and I'm pretty sure it was this one.

All in all it was a very sweet little bike and served him well once he'd got through the previous-owner-caused niggles.

Anyone remember the 70's when all the OEM silencers rotted away and nobody would buy new Honda parts 'cos they were sooooo expensive.
Every 4 stroke bike around ended up with a set of Dunstall 'silencers' - I use the term advisedly because they were the noisiest things you could buy and gave every bike a big flat spot (more likely a big hole) in the middle of the throttle.

Dunstall Decibels, yep! One of my CD175s had a set on ... funnily enough the one with a big flat spot in the mid rev range. The one that sounded fast but wasn't.
They are still making pattern ones... and they still perform exactly the same.

I run a white Brazilian CG and its ok.. Scrapped a kids quad a bit back for the engine which is a chink 150 version.. Still sat on the bench!!
Pipe wise i run an aftermarket silencer which gives it a nice thumpy sound..
It may be a 12v jobbie but lights are dire so fitted a small cree led driving lamp... Bike was my eldest's but one off to many put paid to his biking days!

Added "Gold bling" today
And, see that side stand that needs a new rubber? Well they are close on £7 'cos they have to come all the way from Japan

Thanks for the help Capitano. That exhaust looks more like what it needs. I went on a 140 mile round trip to Coventry Transport Museum last weekend with Alan CF and a few others and had to back off the throttle in built up areas as it was scaring too many people, and deafening me! I also think it will help with the performance as it did feel as though there was a flat spot in the mid-range revs, and it will definitely help avoid the attention of the police on runs through Matlock Bath
The bike is a 2008 year that had 650 miles on it when I bought it.

I nearly brought a 2008 CG a few years ago from local bike shop. Only thing that put me off was the colour was this ghastly silver. Too bland.

Al do the electric start versions share the same crank as the other CDI versions?
