I took the Ludix out to post a letter this evening as it hasn't had a run for a few weeks.

It made it a mile to the village square then after I'd posted the letter I noticed a smell of petrol.

I did wonder whether the replacement fuel hose had split but nope, it was pi$$ing out of the carb. Quite where I couldn't see but a steady stream of it.

Plus it wouldn't start so I had to push it home. I felt like I was 16 again .... well actually the 16 year old Capitano would have done the walk back less painfully I'm sure!

So, sometime over Easter, chez Capitano will smell ripely of petrol and the air will be blue. :lol:

Must be the season for it, my Velosolex did the same last Sunday, weed petroil all down the exhaust too.

They are a bit harder to replace being alloy originally but copper brake pipe works too.
