I'm the same way about my W800. I reckon it's here for keeps despite financial considerations.

I`ve had Goldwings, Pan Europeans, and big beemers and nothing compares to my W650. I have covered over 650 miles in one go only stopping for fuel, pees and a couple of coffees with no problems at all. I just cant see me getting rid of it I am going to mothball it maybe for a while though.

Pretty much like an old Brit bike two up or something like an early 80s Jap 250-400 in terms of room.

I've never had a problem and I've taken a few passengers from tiny to full-figured. :)

No problems at all two up, comfortably hold 70-80 mph and plenty of room!

the first UK spec W650's came with a wide US style handlebar which pushed the rider back on the seat, sitting them over a lump in the seat pan where the latch lives. These are the early blue/silver and burgundy/cream ones. Many owners then had the optional kawasaki touring bar retro fitted which sits the rider right up front on the seat and that releases a decent amount of pillion room, and transforms the handling and comfort. Later UK 650's and all W800's have this more forward and less wide touring bar. The idle screws are set extremely lean too and simply setting them correctly makes the bike much more tractable at low revs as well as much quicker to warm up and it'll handle a pillion accelerating from 1200 rpm in top gear up the sort of hills a C90 can't pull third up at all. The motor has a lot of grunt....

Well, the CB250RS sailed through it's MOT once I charged the battery and nailed the rear indicators back on......which was slightly surprising as it had been sitting outside for 2 years. A slight weep from the gearshift oil seal but otherwise a nice ride despite an oversized Conti Go on the front! The Innova guy wants it as £400 towards the £1000n 2010 injection Innova so i have to find a further £400 to add to the £200 i already gave him. Before anyone says anything, It is pretty rough cosmetically. A strong hack but has a long way to go before it will be winning any Japanese classic concours competitions...I'm creeping ever forward towards the new bike!
