Yes...12v battery should be at least 12.6 volts when at rest and engine off
Should be at least 13.5 volts when running and ideally 14 to 14 .5 when running
11.8 means battery is fcuked or charge circuit/reg-rec is goosed

11.8 v was engine off lights on ! seeing 14.5 with engine running even with lights on

enough trouble getting a picture without it running

On my C90 i fitted a cig lighter socket and i have a multimeter with a cig lighter plug fitted as well as probes,i simply set the multimeter to volts(up to 20v) and plug it into the cig socket, rev my bike up to check max charge or test battery volts without the engine running,i can use the multimeter to check my van or anything else that has a gig lighter socket,i checked my neighbours tractor last week.
One of my next little jobs on my to do list is fit a cig lighter socket and a usb? socket for my sat nav, they are sat in my shed waiting for me to pull my finger out !
