So I pulled off the front wheel on my bike and they is plenty of "meat" left on the brake shoes.
Now my next project is to replace the head bearing as the steering has developed a notchy feel, that will not go away with adjustment.
I have ordered a bearing set for a C90 off ebay, fingers crossed it will fit :?
Yes they will fit as have fitted a set in both a riders and kepspeed frames.

Steve G how did you remove the bottom race attached to the fork? It seems to be well stuck on on my bike.
Great to know the C90 bearings will fit. Somehow during disassembly the starter button came off and the spring disappeared, another job for the list!

What sort of mileage have you done on your super cub now? The brakes are fairly crap, I'd expect the shoes to last forever 😇
My bike has done 2200km, there doesn't appear to be much grease in the bearings which has helped them wear quickly.
I replaced the front brake cable, which did seem to give a better feel to the front brake.

Most of mine i just tap/lever up with a screwdriver/punch.Some come up easy, some with a bit of work.
If yours have the rubber seal under them just lift it over first so as not to damage it.

Piaggio Zip horn/starter button is an exact fit, order 2, cos which ever one has gone, the other wants to follow..

Mine hit 4000km yesterday, passed its 1st mot a couple of months back
Its going to a new owner ,a friend of mine in about a month or so,just need a change.
Its done really well,i normally swap every 12mths !

Im going to get something else out of storage ,either the Yds5 or the "proper" cub,and use as is or i may stick a 4 speed 110 in it and nip about.
Ive yet to find anything else that is narrow enough to get through 3 of the long junction queues on the weekly commute other than the dax, or the cub so far

Will be back in the UK next week and was thinking about some possible mods to the Super Cub.

One of the parts of the bike I’m not keen on the look of, is the saddle. I’ve no problem with the comfort of it and it’s not something I need to change until it fails but does anybody know if a C90 (or any other capacity) fits onto the clones? I’d be looking for the double seat, not into any of those arse pads that some folks fit to their cubs.

Another option might be to source a seat cover and build up the shape of the foam to suit?

Have fitted a stock cub seat and bracket (if not the same)to a riders cub frame.
