Re: RIDERS CUB DISCUSSION
I've only had the indicator relay break so far, which i managed to prise open and resolder. The connectors in the lights are a bit flimsy ,probably just need a clean up and some wd40 on them
I've found the starter motor works fine since the last oil change,as I had some 5w Mobil 1 synthetic spare instead of the normal 15w i use.The starter always struggled and you had to pulse the button to find the least compression to get it to spin, and you couldn't use it when cold at all .Now it works fine when hot and just about manages when cold too

Well it was blown filaments on the bulbs.
Had a spare car brake and tail light bulb but didn't have the correct R10W bulb for the indicator - the normal sized indicator bulbs from a car are too tall to fit the lens cover over

Noticed that it's possible to fit in the brake/tail light in the other way around so that you can have the brake light on when it should be the tail light - make sure you check before fitting the lens cover or you'll be taking it off again like me.
I got it right first time but removed the bulb to put in a squirt of WD40....then must have put the bulb in the other way unknowingly...
Also noticed that there's no seal for the rear light unit, so I'd keep an eye on the rear connector if riding in crappy weather.

Yes, mine kept either blowing rear bulbs or they fell out of the holder.
That's why I changed the whole fitting over to an LED unit.

Re: RIDERS CUB DISCUSSION
I've just won a couple of 1156 LED bulbs on eBay so will try those first and see how they go.
I've got an LED unit on my Lexmoto ZSB and one of the diodes is starting to fail - was like that at 42 miles and seems to be a known issue with them.
How well is your LED unit holding up and do you have a link for future reference?

LED rear lamp unit.
Had the light in October 2015 and it's still going strong.
I had to alter the mounting on the bike but nothing major.
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151973111254

It is indeed.
The baton has been passed over to the other variant that sells on eBay but not sure if anybody on here has one?

Re: RIDERS CUB DISCUSSION
Still going, used daily, but wind managed to topple the bike & has snapped off the indicator switch stem off
the handlebar - ( really, thats a stoopid vunerable switchgear design )
Struggling to find a waterproof DPDT switch that fits the small 13mmx23mm hole left.. may have to dremel a SPDT Piaggio zip
one in instead.. soldering too..
I bought the bike to avoid fettling - and now I think after 5 years - its caught up on me..
regards
Kev
