well I truly have tested the toughness of a KH100 engine went on a ride to southwell in notts with a mate before I set off checked oil and stuff thought there was enough, just on out skirts of southwell bike cut out thought odd but knew the float height is low running out if held flat out to long, fired up straight away couple of minutes did same thing, right I stopped looked around checking tank, filter and tap, just saw oil sight glass and empty BUGGER

Luckily mate took me to nearest petrol station luckily had some 2 stroke oil, put abit in the fuel tank and sloshed it around and rest in all tank, kicked straight up sounded like a tractor :( let it ticked over to get air out of pump and oil into cylinder, rode it really steady home and sounded alright, did some more miles around city and sounds fine now runs fine except for a slight buzz from engine, try doing that with your race prepped aprillia rs125 and see if it survives haha

Manual coming next Sunday...then you can work out how much oil to buy to fill the tank
ALWAYS fill it before EVERY ride !!!!!!!!!!!
For the price of a few gaskets,it might be an idea to whip the top end off and check it

No noises once warmed up and runs absolutely fine, yeah only time I didn't carry oil on me and runs out typical, was just gutted as just spent nearly £350 on my 250 trail bike and can't afford to fix kh but runs fine now with fresh oil in it

Ok
They will tolerate a VERY short time without oil but not much
My Camino moped was premix...25:1...I was told to add 1 measure of oil to the fuel
I added 1 measure,40 cc,to 5 litres of petrol :o :o :o
Poor thing ran for a while like this then on a long run,BANG...main bearing went but it got me home
I then added 200cc of oil to 5 litres of fuel and it was fine...after the engine rebuild :|
