Some interesting takes here, deffo glad I asked! The only real attraction of the GS was the extra 20mpg!
Might need to give this a bit more thought. And Ross was suggesting the Yam Tenere. I've always liked Yam for performance, Honda for reliability.

or an MZ mastiff/ baggira, Yam XTZ engine in a german frame , white power suspension, acrebis plastics, fun, well built , and bargains can be found.

It was cursed and put me in hospital twice. Alloy rims are the bane of my existance, it's a bit heavy and as soon as the engine was coming on song you hit the limiter.
Crap tank range too.
