Ive never had a cbr 1000, a mate has one with 115,000 miles on it, only replaced exhausts and consumables, built like tanks, yours looks ace in 'stealth mode' .

Yes, she was cheap as chips and the intention was to have a "stealth bike" but with as much of the original weather protection as possible and heated grips so she's an all-year-round club bike.

All in all she's turned out pretty much as I wanted/expected and rarely needs cleaning no matter what conditions she gets ridden in.

She had 18000 miles on her at 18 years old. Judging by the "patina" on the exhaust collector box a lot of these were short journeys. Even the exhaust wasn't a bank breaker. £300 for a complete stainless steel system, downpipes, collector and that Viper can.
