hi
The only safe place to keep fuel is in the fuel tank. I have a 2 stroke 1 litre mixing bottle which I will use on long journeys and will put it under the seat, not ideal I know.

Re: Innova economy
well the bottle I specially bought is designed to hold petrol...its very thick plastic...Like one of those green or red fuel containers. I fill it nearly all the way up, then squeeze the sides to get the last air bubble out, then do the cap up tight while they are held 'in'...So there's some room for expansion within the plastic. There's no smell of fuel. i am taking the Innova to the forest...suitably burdened with giant son...barker wrote:guildbass I don't think carrying petrol in anything under the seat next to the battery is a good idea ,I carry petrol in a small bottle in the top box that stinks of petrol at times I must admit.ps are you taking the innover to the new forest

Re: Innova economy
Shortly after getting my new innova 3 years ago I was keen to see weather hondas claim of 180 mpg was true . I used one of the many on-line calculators to work it out and I was getting 165 mpg. I only weigh 9 stone so I guess this must help, though I was razzing it a bit ( middle age razzing that is).Ive since had a screen fitted so I think maybe I should see what effect this has had on the mpg. Will let you know.

Re: Innova economy
I have high hopes for another Innova style engine. The first tank of fuel for the new MSX returned 135mpg. Suspect that should improve as the bike has still done less than 200 miles.
Re: Innova economy
this is what i have, which is the usual screen fitted to Innovas and is shaped to the bike...the Puig screen.barker wrote:ANY PICTURES OF THE SCREEN

I made some muff things out of plastic 4 pint milk bottles for the C90...They worked perfectly and came off for the summer.
