Quite right... I should have dismantled it down to a molecular state when I bought it but I instead relied on the fact that it came from a Honda main dealer who had supplied and serviced it from new. Being an eternal optimist I though seeing as it starts instantly hot or cold, rides without glitch, goes 60 and does 115 mpg it was fine!

All joking apart I bought it to be an utterly reliable transport solution which was meant to involve the odd squirt of chain lube, an oil level check every now and again and pretty much nothing else!...And to be fair, other than a puncture ciz i was riding in the gutter with a scared newby girl on the back...It's been faultless even with half the motor hanging off!

Please check the valve clearance every now and then esp. with lower milage they need some adjustment.

This doesnt surprise me at all actually, if the injection system is anything like a car's, you'll have the air flow meter which senses how much air is making it into the engine, and sends in the right amount of fuel accordingly. Assuming innova's have air flow meters as well, not sure how much of a battering it will have taken! Of course if the injection system is different, then i'm talking a load of rubbish so just ignore me LOL

My thoughts on this topic are dubious, all I'm saying is sometimes a grain of truth can get spun into a full on story.

I cast a sceptical eye on most things I read on the net.

Yes, the grain of truth turns into who knows what. No intention of starting something so I'll leave it at that.
