Hi all, finally finished my little yamaha slider 50 project. Spent a year or so off and on getting it sorted,was originally a clean and completely standard scoot. Now the only original engine parts are the casings and the bolts that hold them together. Now 70cc with the cylinder ported by myself with a 21mm carb,uprated exhaust,crank transmission,intake,reeds etc.
Top speed is around the 65mark,clutch bites at 8000rpm peak power is around 10k and the cvt holds that constantly. Gets to 60mph in about 8 seconds and will hoik the front wheel in the air all the time unless you perch right on the front of the seat and hang over the bars. Completely unrideable in heavy traffic, its either on the power or going nowhere.
Sadly fuel economy has suffered somewhat and it only manages to achieve 15mpg
well worth it though and certainly a good way to keep the mileage down.
